WebAIM hosting TEITAC content

Though our partnership with the National Center on Disability and Access to Education, I had the great opportunity to sit on the Telecommunications and Electronic and Information Technology Advisory Committee (TEITAC). The committee made recommended changes to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and Section 255 of the Telecommunications Act.

During it’s nearly two year tenure, the committee used e-mail lists and a wiki to generate a lot of web based content and discussion. WebAIM has volunteered to host the archives of that content, which can be found at http://webaim.org/teitac/. The archives, which represent over 13,000 e-mail messages and distinct pages of content, include static versions of the wiki we used to generate content and the archives of all of the committee mailing lists. An immeasurable amount of work went into the committee’s recommendations and we hope that by hosting these archives that much of the resources and knowledge generated during this process can be made available to everyone.
