Bill, the AMP Toolbar for IE and the Web Accessibility Toolbar both have a feature that will pull all of the links from a page in IE and display them in a separate window. The link url, on-screen text, and title attribute will be displayed. I believe image links show the alt text as well.

If you want to take ARIA into consideration you would also need to evaluate the aria-label, aria-labelledby, and perhaps the aria-describedby attributes of the links.

Best Regards,

Jonathan

Subject: [WebAIM] Tool to list link Names on a web page to Manually Evaluate for SC 2.4.4

Hello all,
Does anyone have an accessible tool I can get a list of text associated with link names from a single web page on the Internet or on an Intranet behind a corporate firewall to help manually evaluate SC 2.4.4?
http://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/navigation-mechanisms-refs.html

I would like the tool to dump the link text names into something I can copy from so I can put the link names into a file.

I know I or the developer /evaluator can just copy the link text names from each web page, but I am looking for a quicker way of collecting the text associated with link names.
Thank you,
Bill
