RE: MS Narrator

I have some experience with it.

If you don't have sighted assistance, find yourself in a situation where you
don't have access to a standard screen reader, and need to perform a simple
task in Windows (like reinstall a video driver, read a short document in
NotePad or WordPad, or make some setting changes,) it is okay. However, it
isn't any good for web browsing or doing other more complex involved tasks.
I have never timed it, but I am fairly certain it takes me a lot longer to
do tasks with it than it does for me to use my regular screen reader -- if
it does not take longer, it certainly feels like it.

Subject: MS Narrator

Does anyone have experience with the text-to-speech feature in MS OS XP
called Narrator?

Thank you
