RE: Italic font style

In "normal" windows apps, when italics is chosen, it is my belief that where
possible, the font changes in the document to the "italic" version of the
font, not just the tipping of the standard or normal font. Is this not the
same situation in browsers - where available, the italic variant of the font
is used instead of tipping the normal font?

I know that most word processing software will tip any font that does not
have an italic variant available, CorelDRAW however, won't do that.
