Hi there,

Please pardon my novice. I've only recently started using Voiceover
and have heard of Aria in passing. If you don't mind, can you explain
what it is, or maybe provide a good link? I'm really enjoying learning
about how developers are making things accessible.

Thanks,
Randi

No worries. We sometimes dive right into technical topics here without
explaining what they are.

ARIA (stands for Accessible Rich Internet Applications) is a protocol
being developed by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World
Wide Web Consortium (W3C) to improve web accessibility for advanced
and interactive web elements.

Here are some good sites to get you up-to-speed:
- http://www.w3.org/WAI/aria/faq
- and the protocol itself - http://www.w3.org/TR/wai-aria/
