Hi Everyone,
I recently finished working on a tool that allows you to add captions to embedded external videos, and it just occurred to me that some of you here might get use out of that.
There's a hosted instance [1] that you can use if you can't host your own. I also wrote an article talking about it [2] if you're interested.

Of course please let me know if you have any thoughts or questions.
Cheers,

DJ, what an amazing thing! So - thought and question.
I am working on a site that has an embedded audio player. There are some
contrast problems I'd like to fix.
Also embedded YouTube videos have terrible focus colours. Can these
actually get fixed?! That would be SO GOOD. Is it possible?'
thank you!

Hello Sandy,
Thank you!
Yes it can! VTT Embed uses HTML's <video> (whereas YouTube uses <iframe>), so it's styling is up to you. If you use the code generated by VTT Embed, then the video will have the browser-default controls and styling. The focus-indicator should be the same as the one on the rest of your site, though.
You could also completely restyle the video controls though, if you prefer. This can be done the same way you would style any other <video> [1].

I hope this helps!
