Dear members, I kindly request your inputs on the following:
For modal dialogs, unlike JAWS, NVDA does not announce the title while
pressing insert+T, in IE, FF, and Chrome as well.
Is this an NVDA bug?
In web pages, NVDA is announcing the page title instead the dialog title.
Where as, in desktop, it announces the dialog title. Not the application title.
Generally, the expected behavior is the desktop behavior should be
replicated in the web as well. Right?

File it as a bug with NVDA.
This may be by design, but it may also just be an issue those
gentlemen haven't gotten around yet.
I think NVDA should announce the dialog title, assuming it is
correctly assigned (with role="dialog" or "alertdialog" and proper
aria-labelledby connection or aria-label).
