Verification of Compliance with Section 508

WebAIM was contracted by the City of Baltimore to verify that the baltimorecity.gov web site meets the standards of Federal Section 508 §1194.22 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1998. After multiple review cycles, WebAIM certifies that the web pages on baltimorecity.gov fully meets all 16 of these requirements and is highly accessible. This evaluation and verification occurred January 4, 2010.

Limitations

• Only pages located on baltimorecity.gov were evaluated and certified.
• This is a verification of HTML and embedded media only. WebAIM did not verify compliance of non-HTML content, such as PDF files.
• WebAIM verifies conformance with Section 508 §1194.22 only. While the site exceeds these requirements in many areas and was found to be highly accessible, there may still be accessibility issues not addressed in Section 508.
• WebAIM cannot verify that any changes to the site made after January 4, 2010 conform to Section 508 §1194.22.
