On the hardware call, Rob asked if the reach range parameters in the
updated (2004) ADAAG are identical to the previous version? If, not,
what are the specific differences?
Jim Pecht here on staff at the Access Board reports that the main
differences is that old ADAAG (DOJ Standard) allows a 54 inch high and a
9 inch low side reach where the new ADA-ABA guide sets the side reach at
48 inches for the high and 15 inches for the low. This is a significant
change.
