Touchscreens are definitely part of what we mean by Biometric Controls  or
more specifically, capacitive touch screens. That¹s where the discussion
started. The real general definition we¹re getting at is something like
this:
BIOMETRIC CONTROL: a control that requires interaction directly with the
human body
Capacitive touch screens are certainly the most prevalent in this category
as of today, but who knows about the future (brainwave detection,
circulatory system interfaces, etc). Eye Gaze and speech recognition it
think qualify as biometric controls  you must have that part of the body
functioning in order to use them.
