Hello Hardware Subcommittee:

I apologize if you receive this twice, but I'm trying to ensure full
communication with those that signed up for the committee, but have not
signed up for the listserv yet.

At this point in time, I'm still working to establish the best method
for the teleconference currently scheduled for October 13th at 11am EST.
I will send an update on it as soon as is practical.

With that in mind, there are several other details that can be
considered via e-mail and the TEITAC listserv.

The first detail is the identification of co-chairs. As stated earlier,
I (Rob Nerhood) am willing to serve as one of the co-chairs. We need
another volunteer to step forward. I would like to have this completed
by this Friday, October 13th, so we can make our recommendations to Jim
and Mike.

Relative to the content, this subcommittee needs to begin to consider
its scope and goals and define them. Since the WIKI is up, we can begin
working through that tool at this address:
http://teitac.org/wiki/Hardware

Additionally, we were charged at the first TEITAC meeting with reviewing
the provisions of Section 1194.26 - Desktop and Portable Computers to
identify potential gaps and problems in the current standards. Within
this analysis, the team needs to consider the applicable Themes and
their impact to the overall interaction.

I ask that you begin to consider these topics in advance of the
teleconference.

If you have any further thoughts, please send them to

Best regards,

Rob
