The question about immersive environments such as SecondLife has been
passed to our web and software subcommittee for consideration as the AV
subcommittee feels it's out of scope for AV.

Folks,
Agreed "immersive environments" such as "Secondlife" are beyond the
scope of the AV subcommittee and are best addressed by possibly the
Software subcommittee assuming they have the time to deal with it.

Sure - Audio / video is just linear. Secondlife and other similar
environments are not audio/video, although they could contain audio and
video. It is software.
