I agree . . . most of the groups have already begun to schedule meetings and
many of the conveners do not understand either how to use/access the
listserve, or the wiki.
If we want to use other tools for the conference calls, we need to be moving
quickly. It also sounds as if the access board stated that there were no
funds available to pay for accessibility for the subcommittees, but that
somehow we have to ensure the accessibility of all subcommittee meetings.
That is potentially a great concern if there is a significant cost involved
in making the calls accessible.

They also need guidance about things like whether it is OK to use toll
services for conference callsor other tools like Skype. Some groups are
scheduling with tolll-free conference and some with toll. But any guidance
must come to them very, very soon because they're already publishing
numbers.

The subcommittees should not be meeting in advance of some guidance from
the Communications Task Force. Tim and I still are working on drafting
some notes regarding making use of RCC and what should be posted to the
DL and Wiki to ensure that "Subcommittee meetings shall be conducted in
a manner that is accessible to all those in attendance" and
"Subcommittees shall publish their meeting schedules and other work
mechanisms in advance to the public".
