Dear TEITAC Colleagues:

Yesterday we received the following memo from David Capozzi on behalf of the
Access Board. Obviously their decision impacts TEITAC as a whole,
particularly our schedule. In light of this announcement, Jim and I have
made the following decisions:

1. We will allocate 30 minutes on our December 11th conference call with the
explicit purpose of determining the TEITAC strategy going forward.
2. The current TEITAC meeting and deliverable schedule (including the task
force schedule) will remain unchanged. Appropriate adjustments will be made
following our December 11th discussion.

In the interim, we understand that travel plans for the January meetings are
of the highest priority. We can tell you that our face-to-face meetings in
January will remain as scheduled on January 7 through January 9. There is a
remote possibility of extending those meetings by one or two days. The
Access Board staff is working the issue. If they are not able to secure
meeting space before our conference call on Tuesday, we will advise the
committee and work with you to determine next steps.

Later today Jim and I will post the agenda for Tuesday's conference call.
This includes a list of several provisions to be considered for consensus
discussion. Please prepare well!

The Access Board will be canceling its January Board meeting. Because of
this, the Access Board will not be able to receive the TEITAC report until
March.

The Access Board's meetings in March are currently scheduled for March
10-12. However, we are trying to locate hotel and meeting space so the
Board could meet during the week of March 3 to allow for TEITAC members to
attend the Access Board meeting and the CSUN conference (which is scheduled
for March 10-15 in Los Angeles).

Once we have dates (and a hotel and meeting location) for the March meeting
we will let TEITAC members know.
