On the TEITAC meeting agenda today, there is 45 minutes scheduled for brief
reports from all 8 subcommittees. Here is a summary of what I plan to say:

Andi Snow-Weaver (IBM) and Curtis Chong (NFB) were approved as co-chairs.

We have 82 members as of 6:30 AM November 8, 2006

We have conducted three meetings at various times due to Andi's travel
schedule. Future meetings will be on Wednesdays, 1:00 to 2:30 PM Eastern
time beginning November 15, 2006.

Our approach is to divide the requirements in 1194.21 and 1194.22 into four
groups of related requirements. This grouping is strictly to facilitate our
discussion of related requirements and does not imply that we would
recommend these groups as changes to the structure of the technical
standards. We are focusing our discussion on one group at a time looking
for problems and gaps. With regard to the themes, so far we have focused on
harmonization with external standards and testability. Interoperability
with AT has come up in some of the discussions but the major focus on
interoperability will occur when we get to Group C and D which contains
most of the software and Web requirements that are related to
interoperability.

As general or global issues are identified, they are collected on a page on
our section of the wiki website. We are deferring our discussion of
"content" until we complete our analysis of the current requirements.

We have just completed our initial discussions of the five requirements in
Group A. We have some outstanding action items on the Group A items and
will be moving on to discussion of the Group B items.
