I was curious about this too. But the listservs will have plenty of
lurkers. We do not want to overexpose email addresses to spammer. And
the listserv roles will not reflect people who regularly review the
archives. There is no requirement, nor expectation really, that people
add their name to the wiki page.
What I have concluded is that maintaining accurate track of subcommittee
participation or interest is nearly impossible. People's level of
interest will ultimately be measured by their contribution to discussion
on the listservs.
Yes, use the listserv as a means to communicate to get the subcommittee
moving. I am not of the opinion that you need to send a back-up email
to send directly to those who have indicated interest, that is what the
listservs are for. The listserv archives are now available, so future
participants can use that to get up to speed.
