Not to muddy the waters further on this gain requirement but -- does anyone
know for sure if the phrase "For transmitted voice signals" and the
associated gain requirement was meant to only apply to receive volume and
just didn't say that? Or was it meant to apply to outgoing speech signals
also? There are folks with disabilities who need the outgoing speech volume
control also and I've never been sure if this standard was meant to address
that need or not.
