Subject: rewording of 6.3C #1
Per Sean's suggestion on yesterday's telecon, here's a stab at
rewording 6.3C, #1:
ORIGINAL WORDING:
6.3C:
1. materials containing prerecorded video and no audio or other
additional time-based content must provide either a separate text
description of the video or provide an additional audio track to
convey the informational content of the video.
PROPOSED REWRITE:
6.3C:
1. materials containing prerecorded video and no original audio or
other additional time-based content must provide either a separate
text description of the video or provide an additional audio track to
convey the informational content of the video.
Note that I just added the word "original" to the first part of the
sentence. Comments?
Thanks.
geoff.

Why are we focusing on "original"?

Looks good. From our 6/27 discussion, the word "original" placement
both clarifies and gives beter meaning to provision.

Looks good
Needs a good short name though to get people focusing on it right so it
doesn't get misinterpreted
Maybe
Video-only Media
Or
Alternatives for Video-Only Media
