GreggVan There is a concern that a large group of individuals is being left out if we do not have a provision for individuals who are unable to reach out and touch the product. Those that essentially have no reach. On the other side there is a concern that we don't really have good techniques for building access into products to address the range of people with disabilities who are unable to reach. We have voice and eye gaze and perhaps head pointing that might be in this category but there is a concern if these are enough or good enough to actually work in the field as well as meet the range of disabilities that people have who cannot reach and touch. The one issues around closed products and the fact that if you can't attach AT then you have to rely on a built in that there is a belief that or one point was that maybe we should try to figure out how to create a safe way to have "closed products" be open to AT and thus solve the problem that way.
There was a consensus that there is a problem here but that we haven't figured out wording or a way to add a provision that people would reach consensus on yet.
