Whitepaper on AT and IT

Whitepaper on AT and IT

Prepared by Gregg Vanderheiden

The purpose of this Whitepaper is to summarize, in one place, the various issue, positions, and proposals for the AT and IT Question.

If you see additional items not already cataloged here - please let me know. These are collected from the 3 different meetings we have had on this topic in the General Group - and the comment made on the lists and TEITAC meetings.

The Issue

Since one can conform to 508 standards either by making products accessible directly or via AT, the question arises as to what "making products accessible 'via AT' or 'via support for AT' " means.
