Hi:
When I learned HTML and earlier, when I learned word processing, my
instructor told me that although the structure of numbered (ordered) and
bulleted (unordered) lists were similar, the perception is different. He
told us that choosing a numbered list suggests an order or a sequence
whereas bulleted lists have no clear suggestion of either - the items are
simply separate items with respect to the same topic.
With respect to how JAWS and other screen readers read PDFs, does the screen
reader differentiate between numbered and bulleted lists?
For accessibility reasons, I am asking this question. Will someone who is
using a screen reading or Braille technology catch the fact that one list is
bulleted and another is numbered? Does it read out "One, beat the eggs, two,
add the sugar, three, add the milk, ...", identifying each numbered item? If
so, how does it announce the beginning of a new bulleted item?
