A number of messages in the Digest I receive are
difficult to read because of the irritating number of

that appears between words.
When I send a message there is also usually a large space between the
header and the message.

Others have no problem.
Are we <FONT face="Times New Roman"
size=3>&amp;nbsp; people doing something wrong or is it my Outlook Express.

Got any tips for doing it right.

People are sending email as HTML formatted email. When sending emails to a
list, generally accepted netiquette is that you never send in HTML
format...just plain text.

Some lists filter out all HTML emails, but it sounds like the digest doesn't
and is instead displaying the actual HTML in the message.

Thanks Darrel,
I've changed the setting on OE to send mail as text only so this message
should be OK.
Lists seem a bit elitist to me and It's difficult for a newcomer, to know
the etequette. But I'm trying.
I hope the few other HTML email offenders are reading your tip.

Not elitist, just more 'old-school' ;o)

A great guide to general list-serv netiquette is at the Webdesign-l list's
website, for those that are curious:
