Hello
We at my university are in the early stages of developing our own student portal and we are naturally keen to provide maximum
accessibility.

I wondered if any of you knew of any comparative data between, or reports on, Section 508 of the Vocational Rehabilitation Act
(revised) US and our UK own SENDA (Special Educational Needs and Disability Act 2001 2001 Chapter 10.

For educational institutions you might want to look at Section 504 and IDEA
(http://www.ed.gov/about/offices/list/osers/osep/index.html?src=mr) not just
508.

IDEA - Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act

Or to whom I might address such an enquiry. I have emailed EASI (Norm Coombs
and Dick Banks), Doug Wakefield (Access Board) and the W3C World Wide Web
Consortium as well as other interested parties here and over there, and
search research databases. You may have some names to suggest.

In anticipation of your help.
Best regards
Aileen
