I just wanted to remind you about WebAIM's two day web accessibility
training workshop coming on October 24-25, 2007. More details at
http://www.webaim.org/training/

This intensive, hands-on training will cover everything from basic web
accessibility principles to advanced accessibility techniques. No
prior web accessibility knowledge is required, but an understanding of
web design and development is recommended. The training will be held
in beautiful Logan, Utah in a full-featured computer lab.

Please pass this information along to anyone who might be interested
in, or benefit from, the training.


If you're interested in learning more about accessibility, the
following conferences are available in the near future and WebAIM will
be presenting at each of them:

* ACM's ASSETS 2007 Conference on Computers and Accessibility, October
15-17 in Tempe, Arizona. We'll be presenting on our research and
planned work in the area of cognitive disabilities and web

* The Coleman Institute Conference on Cognitive Disability and
Technology, October 24-26 in Westminster, Colorado. We'll also be
presenting on our efforts and research on cognitive disabilities. More

* IDEAS, November 1 in Washington, DC. I'll be participating in a
panel entitled "How Accessible is Web 2.0" with Andi Snow-Weaver of
IBM and John Lester of Linden Labs (the developers of Second Life).

* Accessing Higher Ground: Accessible Media, Web, and Technology
Conference, November 6-9 in Boulder, Colorado. Among the more than 50
accessibility presentations, WebAIM will be providing workshops on Web
Accessibility Evaluation with WAVE 4.0 and Advanced Applications of
Basic Accessibility Principles. We'll also provide general sessions on
The Next Generation of Web Applications and Access for People with
Disabilities and Using JAWS to test for web accessibility. More

* NCTI Technology Innovators Conference, November 15-16 in Washington,
DC. We'll be presenting our work on tool development and cognitive
