Hi.
so what colours would you recommend for foreground and background.
also, the flickering, and do not want to have to have a text version,
as my site is big enough at the moment.
okay, and what colour for the internet clock?
and now, any other tips, tricks, i can use to get the section 508
vallidating, and changing from html 4.01 tranistional to xhtml 1.0
tranistional.
cheers marvin.--

Unless you have a specific need for XHTML, I wouldn't spend time on that.

And nobody who is hand-authoring has any need for XHTML 1.0 in
particular, since it doesn't have any features that HTML 4.01 doesn't.

There is no particular colors that you must use. Possibly the most
important thing to consider when using colors is contrast. If your
background is black and shiny, then dull, light colors will work well.
(Black on White, White on Black, Pale yellow on a Dark Blue) It's
mainly in the contrast, but colorblind filters like the ones people have
suggested so far will help you get that idea. I did not see the
flickering that has been mentioned, but the issue with things that
flicker or strobe is that certain frequencies may cause seizures in
certain individuals. My thought is not to use things that flicker or
strobe at all just to be safe. Again the internet clock should be
enough contrast to be visible, there is not magic color.
