Hi everyone,

I just checked mlb.com to see if anything had changed, and there is
the following message.

Quote:
We are currently making major accessibility enhancements to the
MLB.com portal and the MLB club websites. We value your presence on
our sites and are working hard to provide a richer and more enjoyable
experience for all of our users.
End quote.

This actually made me a little misty. I am always astounded when I
hear about the things web developers do for us with disabilities. It's
people like you who work behind the scenes who really make a
difference for us. It is so heartwarming. Just had to share.

Randi,

File Under: For what it's worth.

I can't remember what it was you wanted to do exactly regarding MLB...just
get the current scores during a game?

I had this need last night and Googled "scores red sox" and it came back
with the current box score and general info about the current Red Sox game -
right there as the first entry at the top of the screen. I ran the same
search this morning and the box scores are not there but instead there is a
link to the team's website. However, in the description, Google shows the
last game's final score and when and where the next game is to be played.
Apparently the live box scores only appear when the game is in progress.
BTW, I used this on my iPod using the "mobile" version of Google and it
looked very accessible.

So if you are looking for just a quick update on scores, you may want to
simply check Google.

Hi John,

I do use that search on Google. I type Tampa Bay Rays schedule, and it
gives me last game score and next game. I added that gadget to
iGoogle, so I have all the scores and also division standings.
Originally, this was all I wanted from mlb.com. I've since wanted to
get Gameday audio, radio broadcasts of all games for 14.95 a year. But
I can't access the register page. I'm in contact with Lainey and she's
working on it.

So yes, Google and iGoogle rock, I also have text alerts on my new
talking phone, so I'm updated on Rays and Cubs games. Sorry we smashed
your Red Sox today tee hee. Ah but the last time I talked smack about
the Sox, the Rays lost, so I'll stop now.
