hi folks: i think that the forms that Survey Monkey
http://www.surveymonkey.com/ makes aren't particularly accessible.

are folks here familiar with it? can someone give me some "talking
points" about why they shouldn't be used?

a group i work with has used them and i'd like to be more informed about
the accessibility issues, with Survey Monkey, so i can talk better with
them about it.

all the best
Donna

Hi Donna

I've had issues with Server Monkey and my City in the past and some
of the problems were:

invalid code
no fieldset or legend elements
no label elements for form fields
required the use of the mouse to activate check boxes and other form elements
Required that Javascript be enabled.

cheers

Geof

Hi All,

I also heard that SurveyMonkey has accessibility problem, but they
claimed that they're "now fully accessible and 508 compliant and
certified."

They list the claim on their Help Center page
(http://www.surveymonkey.com/HelpCenter/HelpCenter.aspx) and the PDF
documentation is at
http://s3.amazonaws.com/SurveyMonkeyFiles/508_Guide.pdf

I have not personally tested it out yet, but perhaps somebody with
more resource could confirm their claim?

thanks,
ranti.

Not dealt with this, but dealings with SnapSurvey v8, I came across this:

It has a number of features, including optional paths
it is level 2 compliant

but not both at the same time. The answer with this product is it depends on how you design the survey
