Hello,

This has been making the rounds on Twitter - a blog post written by Dennis
Lembree that identifies several accessibility gaps on the home page of the
new section508.gov web site
http://webaxe.blogspot.com/2010/07/critique-new-section-508-web-site.html

As I tweeted, what does it say when the chief US gov agency promoting IT
accessibility is not where it needs to be with their own site?

Jennison

Recentluy there have been problems on many of the government agencies
electronic comment sites for screen reader users. I experienced difficulties
recently on a visit to the Department of Health and Human Services site to
submit an electronic comment and found it to be totally inaccessible.

Trying to work out the correct response - laugh, scream, cry or just shake
my head a lot - at the very least they seem to have failed to use the
BuyAccessible wizard they tout.
