If anyone tried to use this and saw that it didn't work, I'm sorry about that. I just discovered a typo in the JS file url. It's fixed now, and the bookmarklet is still available at the bottom of the page at
http://whatsock.com/modules/accessible_chat_dialog_module/demo.htm
All the best,
Bryan

Have you looked into a11y for WhatSock on VoiceOver? If so, any
interesting discoveries? I have been researching it myself for RIA but have
found very little. I noticed that the WhatSock demos don't work currently
on Macs.

Absolutely. Functionally all of the demos should work normally on the Mac
for non-Voiceover users without any problems. Please let me know if this
isn't the case.

From what I can tell about Voiceover usage, such as
https://www.ssbbartgroup.com/blog/2011/11/10/big-changes-for-flash-the-future-is-mobile-html-5-and-ria/
and
https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Accessibility/Web_applications_and_ARIA_FAQ

The consensus appears to be that ARIA support using Voiceover has much
improved, but still isn't great. The good news being, that well structured
coding will only sound better in the future as such technologies improve,
without actually requiring any code changes directly.

This is my goal for WhatSock, to provide code structures that automate
accessibility, so that accessibility retrofitting will never be necessary in
the future.
