Hello,
Because I'm not sure how a screen reader user might approach an unordered list of links (links mode versus reading the list), I'm not certain of the best way to label my links in the nested list on this page that I'm working on: http://sbctc.edu/college/_g-wactcmtgminsNEW.aspx (please ignore the tables that contain documents at the bottom of the page. Those are the docs I'm moving into the list format instead.)
So, my question is, when a screen reader users gets down to the May 30, 2008 documents, are the link labels of the nested list items sufficient? If the user is reading the page in links mode, I'm afraid they will lose the context of the parent list item (may 30). Is that the case? Would it be necessary, or advisable, then to repeat the date in the nest list's link labels?

As you note, they are sufficient if the user is simply reading through the page.

Yep. The user would have to read previous to the link to determine the
context or distinguishing content of those links.
Because the links can be distinguished based on their context, this
would be WCAG 2.0 Level A conformant.

It is easy to argue that repeating the content within each link would
make the page LESS accessible, especially to non-screen reader users.
WCAG Level AAA would require this repetition.
Because you only have 2 links in each date category, I'd probably just
repeat the date in each link. If it were more than a few links, then I
the extreme repetition would probably warrant categorizing as you have
done.
Another approach would be to have a WACTC Meeting heading with the
date links below it and the same for CIS Meeting. While there would
then be two "May 30, 2008" links, they would be greatly separated and
in their own heading sections.
