News today:
Adobe committed $300 Million to President Obama's Connect ED Initiative.
They're earmarking the money for software and "professional development" for
students and teachers in the creative areas, as well as Captivate and
e-Learning products.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if Adobe committed some of those dollars to
accessibility issues, such as:
. Making accessible e-Learning materials.
. Making accessible videos and other presentations.
. Making accessible handouts, books, and other regular learning
materials.
Maybe someone can contact Adobe insiders directly about this?

Does Captivate output accessible HTML yet? Or just Flash still?
This could lead to a big increase in flash eLearning materials that aren't accessible on Macs or Mobiles.

Adobe Captivate has been generating HTML 5 content with some accessibility support for several versions now.

Rumor has it that Adobe is addressing accessibility across its programs. I'd
assume that they are making more progress in some programs than in others. I
haven't worked with Captivate in a while.
RE: Flash, I've heard various rumors that range from yes they are fixing
FLASH's accessibility issues to no they are phasing out FLASH and migrating
to HTML animation.
Until we hear officially from Adobe, we won't know until we know!
