Can anyone give feedback on implementing accessibility processes into
projects. Here is what I am thinking

- Become familiar with the project
- For a particular Web page. Select the appropriate Success Criteria based
on UI and functionality of the page
- Test against the Success Criteria (automated testing, manual testing)

Any feedback is appreciated.

Best

You could pull things from the Website Accessibility Conformance Evaluation Methodology<http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG-EM/>; and then insert those aspects into the relevant phases of the SLDC. Karl has an article on the Agile and accessibility<http://www.karlgroves.com/2011/09/28/agile-accessibility/>;.

Hi Thad,

W3C WAI has a resource on "Strategic Planning for Web Accessibility: Guidance for Developing a Plan for Your Organization or Project" at:
<http://www.w3.org/WAI/impl/Overview>;

It is currently a robust draft. We're working on a project to provide a dynamic guide for planning and managing web accessibility, that will include much of this information and more. So we particularly welcome feedback at this time. The main place for feedback is the publicly archived list:
< = EMAIL ADDRESS REMOVED = >

We also have several other resources that you might find helpful, such as "Involving Users in Web Projects for Better, Easier Accessibility" at:
<http://www.w3.org/WAI/users/involving>;

Regards,
~Shawn

Here is a quite old edition of the CDC Section 508 manual for our EPLC
framework:
http://www2.cdc.gov/cdcup/library/examples-job_aids/CP_Manual_508.pdf

This is v0.5 and currently on 3.0. While it is on 508 not WCAG, hopefully
you can see how accessibility fits in project wide.
