I wanted to let folks know that the digital accessibility community,
especially in Canada, is emptier with the passing of Robert Pearson.
Robert was most recently Accessibility Officer at AMI (Accessible
Media Inc). In addition to his tireless leadership when it came to
making media accessible (including work building up Canada's 24-hour
audio described TV channel), Robert threw his immediate support behind
numerous accessibility camps and related events because of a shared
belief in community building within our field.

Here is a presentation Robert gave at an A11yMTL event in Montreal
called Impossible Is Nothing, which is as much his remarkable story,
as it is a reminder to us all why we work in this space

As an FYI, a Memorial Fund has been set-up to support Robert's family

Thanks for posting that. I'm still somewhat in disbelief.
