Anyone know of any recent accessibility conferences in NYC like in the past
month? An associate just mentioned that his CEO attended one in NYC a few
weeks ago but I can't seem to recall hearing about any...

Mike and everyone:

Mike, I imagine there was a recent meetup in NYC, and perhaps it is what
you're looking for.

To make my response helpful to everyone, find some links below my name,
in case you're looking for these kinds of things in your area.

One is the link to the NYC Meetup, so you can inquire there, Mike, while
the other is a list of these events, including other countries beyond
the U.S.

By all means, if you don't see one listed that you think should be,
please follow up to get it added.

Best,

Jennifer

Does anyone know if there are similar events here in the
Washington/Baltimore metropolitan area?

Folks:

I didn't have time to check the list I included yesterday (still below),
but here's what I found with a quick Google search:

http://www.meetup.com/Accessibility-DC/

And here's another one that sometimes covers accessibility:

http://www.meetup.com/User-Experience-Professionals-Association-DC-Chapter/

And then, here's a Baltimore UX meetup:

http://www.meetup.com/Baltimore-UX-Meetup/

And finally, here's the page for meetups tagged with accessibility, in
case it differs from the list I sent yesterday:
http://www.meetup.com/topics/accessibility/
