I have run JAWS with few glitches on Windows 98 and XP ( and I think 2000).
I would check with Freedom Scientific for more info, though.
(www.freedomscientific.com--also, once you install JAWS, run it over their
home page. They model well what they preach.)

The reliability and capability is much better on Windows 2000 and especially
XP for Jaws 4.x.
