Hi,

I have a PDF document in Hebrew that was created using InDesign ME (the
Middle East edition), with all settings of Right to Left language.

However, when I open the document in Acrobat DC Pro I see:

1) When there's more than one element in a paragraph line, the order of
them is Left to Right.

2) When using the Reflow view, and zooming, I see the lines reflow as if
it's Left to Right.

Any idea how to fix this?

I mean, I can manually fix the first issue using the Reading Order Tool.
Though I'd be happy if anyone would suggest an automatic solution for this.

But the second issue feels more like a bug in on the reflow feature.

Thanks,

Is rtl used on the parent tag? It sounds to me like the children tags are
not inheriting the dir="rtl" from their parents.

Alon, do you know what source program the PDF was made from?
Adobe InDesign, Word, etc.

This was mentioned in the original post as "InDesign ME (the
Middle East edition)".

I just checked, and the parent tag ("Document") had the language code set
to ar-SA.
Which isn't Hebrew, but it's still a RTL language (Arabic, Saudi Arabia).
I tried changing it to "he", and it didn't cause any change.
I also tried changing the language of other tags. No change either.

By the way, the document properties setting for this document was already
Hebrew.
