For initial testing with a speaking browser I prefer to use Home Page
Reader (and then get a 'qualified' JAWS user in later on). Reasons - HPR is
a) much cheaper, b) much easier for an able-bodied person to learn for
casual use, c) seems to find the same/similar issues as JAWS. Drawbacks of
HPR - doesn't work with Flash or PDF, but they are special cases anyway.

I'm about to buy my own license for JAWS after having done testing now
and then using either an evaluation copy or a copy that the University
Library has in its lab.

Having used JAWS only a tiny bit in the past, and having seen seasoned
users driving it, I realise there are lots of things I need to learn
about how to use it properly to check various things, like table markup.

Does anyone know of, or have, a list of shortcut-type tips for using
JAWS for testing purposes?
