Someone asked me recently what was a good alternate system for captcha that
didn't leave the system vulnerable. I know I've seen several alternatives,
but I'm wondering if there is a preferable system out there that satisfies
the security folks and is easy enough to use.

ProtectedAreasOf A Website
I assume that the log-in will be through an (x)html form. If that is the
case just make sure that you use the label element wrapped around the input
prompt with the for attribute pointing to the id attribute of the input
element and you should be fine. If the system uses a captcha for sign up,
you will need to create an alternative for screen reader and screen
magnifier users.
