Hi Jon,

I use the HTML Tidy validator - http://users.skynet.be/mgueury/mozilla/ &
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/249/

I also have TAW - http://www.tawdis.net/taw3/cms/en &
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1158/

I would be keen to know about other options.

Regards, Andrew

The Mozilla-Firefox accessibility extension provides testing
for Section 508 and WCAG related requirements.
http://firefox.cita.uiuc.edu/

NOTE: We plan on adding validation features to an upcominging
version.

There is also a beta version of a new tool called the
Functional Accessibility Evaluator that tests for functional
accessibility features of web resources related to Section 508
and WCAG.

http://fae.cita.uiuc.edu/

Both of these tools are under development and would be
interested in feedback.
Jon

Don't know if you are aware of this:

Accessibility Extensions for Mozilla/Firefox

Campus Information Technologies and Educational Services (CITES) and
Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES)

University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign

http://cita.rehab.uiuc.edu/software/mozilla/

"The Mozilla/Firefox Accessibility Extension makes it easier for
people with disabilities to view and navigate web content. A toolbar
provides easy access to navigation, styling, and keyboard enhancement
functionality. Developers can use the extension to check their
structural markup from the browser window to verify that it matches
the page content..."
