I think that the text has to appear before the form control rather than
after it. Those of us who are sighted will see the whole picture, ie,
preceeding text, form control, following text, whereas the speech readers
may read the text before the form control, then the user may stop the speech
reader to enter the information before the speech reader has had time to
read the following text.

Hi,
Sometimes, a single form control (e.g., a text box) might have many labels
or text descriptions and graphics that might refer to it.
For instance, there might be a text label to the left of a text box that
says "Departure Date:". To the right of the box, there is information on
how a date should be entered into the field, such as "(mm/dd/yyyy)".
How would you all choose to write the HTML for something like this to make
it accessible?
