Does anyone know if the free online version of Bobby has been
discontinued?

The Bobby URL
http://bobby.watchfire.com/bobby/
is redirecting to WebXACT
http://webxact.watchfire.com/

Thanks,
Laura

As far as I know this is the new free service offered by Watchfire. It
will still do one page at a time but I could not determine if you can
configure it to run something other than WCAG 1.0 checks. Personally I
like the old Bobby service better. You may want to try Cynthia Says as
a free testing tool or the WAVE tool by WebAIM.

The "Show Advanced Accessibility Options" and "Terms of Use" links are
under the URL form input box. If you follow the "Show Advanced
Accessibility Options" it has options for WCAG A, AA, AAA, and 508
checks.

I liked the old Bobby better also. Wonder if it is retired for good?
Cynthia Says and the WAVE tool are both good tools.

This test is a little strict - it fails me on WACG priority 1 for using
<pre> in my page.

Watchfire (who own Bobby) announced a while ago that Bobby would be
discontinued and WebXact available in it's place.
If you click on "Show Advanced / Accessibility Options" you will see a
number of options including 508 and W3C WCAG-A / AA / AAA plus broken links
etc.
I find this service equally as pedantic as Bobby though I think there's a
bit more depth in the report.

Incidentally WAVE seems to have fallen over this a.m.
