Subject: Title on background image links

Hi Dudes,
we have a web site which has totally the background image links .
we we have given Title to make it partially accessible due to limited
development time lines.
JAWS 12 and NVDA 2011.3 with Firefox 10 and IE 9 the solution working fine.
would like to know how the older versions of screen readers pick
title on links. .
Throw some light on this plz.
