Hi all,
I am testing a software where there is simble for buttons and search
box and it is not being read by a screen reader. I could understand
that. but there are some controls that contains valid text, but screen
reader is not reading that. What could be the reason? Is it because of
graphics?
What suggestion can I give to the developer?
Please help.

simble?
hi karthik, your question was not cleare.
anyway, as for my understanding, if the buttons are made with images,
and, if they dont have the labels, the screen readers does not read
the button's label.

Karthik,

You would need to show us the code being used for the button, symbol, and text. There may be text there, but if it's not using the correct element or attribute, it won't get read.

Hi sara,
It is finished product. I am not getting the code of the software.
Sighted user who is also an engineer says that there is text included
in the button.
eg, there is cancel button but the screen reader is not reading that.
Will I have to directly talk to the developer?what suggestion can I give?
Please help.
