The National Center on Disability and Access to Education is hosting a
webcast titled, "Accessibility 2.0?". The webcast will be held this
Wednesday May 16th, 2007 from 3:00 - 4:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time
(12:00PM Pacific; 1:00PM Mountain; 2:00PM Central, 19:00 GMT).
Panelists will be Derek Featherstone, Gez Lemon, and Aaron Leventhal,
all well known experts in the web accessibility field. The discussion
will be moderated by myself. From AJAX to Google Maps to WAI-ARIA and
beyond, we'll be discussing next generation web applications and
technologies and how they affect accessibility for both good and bad.
Web 2.0 is a bit of a buzzword, though one that signifies a dramatic
change in the way that web application work. Can this change and the
implementation of these powerful technologies also bring about
dramatic increases in accessibility - Accessibility 2.0?
The audio-only webcast will be one hour in length, is available via
Windows Media Player or Quicktime, will be captioned in real-time, and
will be archived for later listening.
