Lynx does not support HTTPS (at least not the version that I have).
Software such as JAWS, Window Eyes, and Home Page Reader are not
browsers. They access the Internet through browsers such as Internet
Explorer. If the person is using JAWS with Internet Explorer, then there
will be no problem with the HTTPS protocol because the screen reader is
not the limiting factor. The browser is. If someone uses JAWS with Lynx,
all HTTPS sites will be inaccessible because Lynx does not support
HTTPS.

In your question, you actually asked about "speech browsers." Perhaps
you had a specific software product in mind? Let me know if my response
didn't answer your question.
