sending web pages from Outlook 2007

I've been working on a web page for a newsletter that will be e-mailed, using CSS (admittedly as a novice) to create the 2-column layout. The layout was intact when I received test messages from myself in Outlook 2003. I just got Outlook 2007, and the same page e-mailed does not preserve the 2 column layout. Mailing myself a few pages from some accessibity web sites, I notice there is the same problem. But if a page uses tables for layout, it works fine. Any advice?
