Ok, I just plugged in my iPod. Do you remember the last time you did
an update? I'm looking at my system to see if I'm having that issue.

I don't know how it is in Jaws, for me, I go to my sources table and
interact with it, or open it, however it works with Jaws. Then I find
the device, and arrow to "music, device playlist" I stop interacting
with the sources table, and interact with the songs table, and there
are all my songs. I can also search for a specific song using the text
edit field to the left of the sources table, when music, device
playlist, is selected. I don't know how to copy an individual song to
the iPod other than copying and pasting, since there's no way to have
both songs table open. You can however, do an auto fill and do a whole
playlist. To do that, you could create a playlist in iTunes of say,
new songs or something. Then, when you select music, device playlist,
in the sources table, and arrow right, you'll see "auto fill from, and
then a pop up menu or combo box. There, you can select the playlist to
auto fill from, and it'll import all songs from that playlist to the
iPod. For some reason, it doesn't create the named playlist on the
iPod, which drives me nuts. It'll be under an unnamed playlist.

I don't know if I'm any good at explaining lol. This is how I've been
doing it, before the upgrade it wants me to do now, that I'm scared
of. Oh, and to delete, I again select music, device playlist, find the
song, and I don't know how you would do it in Jaws, but I pull up a
menu on that song, and one of the options is delete.

Does that help at all?
