Hello,

If the date picker isn't accessible, to me having a text box with an
appropriate label like someone said in a previous message is fine. As a
screen reader user, I find it easier to just type in the date as long
as I know what format to put it in. It's much quicker to do it that way
than to use combo boxes to select the month, date and year. And as long
as you have an accessible alternative like that, I don't think you are
violating any guidelines.
