Hello everyone
I am not sure if this belongs more on a Jaws list, but I have
discovered this in the process of testing web accessibility issues, so
I thought may be someone else had comments or might benefit from this.
It seems that Jaws 12 is working strangely with Flash objects, once I
navigate past the Flash object on the page Jaws starts jumping
erratically around and it becomes a bit of a trick to find the link
and click on it before the focus jumps elsewhere, it does not seem to
matter what type of Flash object it is, as long as there is animation.
(see, for instance, www.blind.is, though this page is in Icelandic).
I have tried this with other screen readers and do not have the
problem, older versions of Jaws (at least 11) does not seem to have
this problem either.
I am testing on a Thinkpad X200 computer with Windows 7 32-bit and
IE8, so I cannot exclude the possibility that this is something with
my system specifically.
I just wanted to know if you have come across this issue while testing
for Flash accessibility on web pages.
It would be nice to get some feedback before I create a bug report for FS.
If this seem too screen reader specific I do apologize, do not mean to
clog up the list with irrelevant stuff.
Thanks
