contrast buttons

Is it worthwhile to add change contrast buttons on web page. I know the
browser built in functionality for changing contrast leaves much to be
desired, yet I also understand that there many different preferences out
there for contrast. Is there one contrast control which would significantly
help a very large percentage of dyslexic users?
